Hen Party Shirts – How they’re made!

There are no secrets at IMT Print.  want to know how we print shirts?  Well, here’s how we produce short runs and one off shirts.

After we’ve spoken to you about what you need, work begins.  In this case the print process uses rolls of vinyl which we cut using a plotting machine.  The machine cuts your design out of the vinyl.  We then remove the excess material, leaving your designs on a carrier sheet.  The next step is to adhere your designs to the garments.  In this case we use a large heat press (a big, hot flat iron).

Once the garments have been under the press, we peel the carrier sheet away and hey presto…..job done!

This system of using vinyls to cut out your designs is perfect if you need between 1 and 10/15 garments.  It’s ideal for personalising each garment and does not incur any set-up costs.  The process is limited: we can produce text or very simple graphics.  We generally suggest keeping the work at a single colour but multi colour work is possible!
